Nasty Weather Continues Across Newfoundland today #nlwx


Unsettled weather is continuing in Newfoundland today.

AVALON: There may be freezing rain or ice pellets on Thursday evening. It will transition to rain Thursday night. Power outages are possible. 5 cm of snow or ice pellets are possible today and 5 to 10 mm of rain tonight.

SOUTH COAST: Ice pellets will begin in the morning. It will change to rain. About 5 cm of snow or ice pellets are possible today and 5 mm of rain tonight.

CENTRAL: Snow will begin in the afternoon. Additional snowfall amounts between 15 and 20 cm is possible. Heavier snow will fall overnight Thursday.

WESTERN: Snow will begin in the afternoon. About 10 cm is possible by Thursday night.

Marine Atlantic crossings that were cancelled on Wednesday will depart Thursday at 3:00 pm.
