Trent Butt Sentenced to Life in Prison

Trent Butt has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years for killing his daughter Quinn.

Butt was found guilty back in March.

Butt will serve a mandatory 25-year life sentence, without a chance for parole. At the same time, he is guilty of arson, a three-year sentence, which will be served concurrently.

Quinn was just five years old when her father torched their Carbonear home in a plan to kill them both in a fire. Trent Butt survived, Quinn did not.

It happened on April 24, 2016.
