Ontario Woman's Car Impounded After Speeding on NL Road #nlwx

A woman from Ontario was ticketed for speeding on TCH near Thomas Pond.
An RCMP officer from the Holyrood detachment stopped a white Mercedes while he was stopped at the emergency turn around.
The car was travelling at a very high rate of speed.
The officer entered the highway behind the vehicle and activated his radar.
A radar reading of 195 km/h was obtained.
The driver tried to evade police; however, due to heavy traffic ahead, she was unable to get away and subsequently pulled over.
A 24-year-old woman from Ontario was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for speeding more than 51 km/h over the posted speed limit as well as imprudent driving.
Her licence was suspended for seven days and her vehicle was seized and impounded.
