Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP take impaired driver off the road

On October 24, 2018, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP were out conducting patrols in the community. Police observed a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign and then stopped in the middle of the road that it had turned onto.

The vehicle was pulled over by police and the 55-year-old male driver from Happy Valley-Goose Bay was found to be impaired. He was taken back to the detachment and provided breath samples that were over the legal limit.

He was released from custody and now faces a charge of impaired operation over 80mgs%. A court date has been set for November 26, 2018.
