Anniversary of the Birth of the Bab

November 9 is the anniversary of the Birth of the Bab. The Birth of the Bab is one of the holiest days in the Baha’i faith, which has grown to include millions of people throughout the world.
It commemorates the October 20, 1819, birth of Siyyid 'Ali-Muhammad, an important leader in the Baha’i faith known as the Bab. This year members of the Baha’i faith will commemorate the birth on November 9.
The Baha’i faith teaches unity as its central theme. Baha’is believe different religions should be respected as they share a common purpose in creating a permanent and universal peace.
