Nalcor Orders Astaldi to Stop Work on Muskrat Falls

Nalcor has ordered Astaldi, the main contractor on the Muskrat Falls worksite, to stop work.

Astaldi is an Italian multinational major construction company based in Rome, Italy. The group is active in the fields of civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, electromechanical engineering and transportation.

Astaldi is experiencing financial troubles and does not have the ability to pay employees.

The parent company to Astaldi Canada has filed under Italian Insolvency Act.
