Early Studded Tire Use Permitted in Labrador

Service NL says that studded tires can be put on vehicles as of Tuesday in Labrador only.

Under the Highway Traffic Act studded tire use is normally permitted from November 1 to April 30 however, the current weather forecast in Labrador may cause dangerous driving conditions.

The Minister of Service NL has the authority to adjust the dates of studded tire use according to weather conditions.
