Three Charged Following Robbery with a Firearm


Three men are facing a long list of charges after a robbery with a firearm near the Stephenville Crossing Gut Bridge.

Last Sunday Bay St. George RCMP responded to a report of a robbery involving a firearm.

Bay St George RCMP, with assistance from the RCMP Serious Crime Unit and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Police Dog Service have charged three men with robbery with a firearm and other Criminal Code offences.

The Three Men Are:

  • Thirty-six-year-old Donald Matthew King of Mattis Point

  • Twenty-two-year-old John Joseph Marche of St George’s

  • Twenty-seven-year-old Trevor Peter Russell of St. George’s

Investigators have also seized a number of items in relation to this incident, including replica firearms, weapons and a quantity of cocaine, hash, cannabis resin and methylphenidate (ritalin).

The investigation is ongoing.
