Amazon Hits Major Milestone

Amazon has hit a major milestone.

The online retailer became the second company in the United States to have a market value of one trillion dollars.

In 2015, Amazon surpassed Walmart as the most valuable retailer in the United States by market capitalization.

To only other company to have such a market value is Apple.

On July 5, 1994, Company founder Jeff Bezos initially incorporated the company in Washington State with the name Cadabra, Inc. He later changed the name to Amazon.com, Inc.
