Shooting at Toronto's Yorkdale Mall


The Yorkdale Shopping Centre is being evacuated after a shooting this afternoon.

Police are searching for two suspects.

People inside the mall report hearing several gunshots that sent people fleeing.

One person was taken from Yorkdale Shopping Centre by Toronto Paramedic Services. This was not as a direct result of the shots fired.

Subway trains are not stopping at Yorkdale station.

The mall is in lockdown with no one allowed to enter the building. People are being allowed to leave.

The suspects are described as a black male in his 20's, he was wearing a black jacket (hoodie) and blue jeans. The second is a mixed-race make in his 20's, skinny about 5'9 and was carrying a black handgun.

Anyone who witnessed anything in relation to the shooting are asked to call police at 416-808-3200.
