RNC Constable Steve Curnew has been arrested and charged with breaching a condition of an Emergency Protection Order.
On Monday, just after 4:00 p.m. information was received that the Emergency Protection Order had been breached.
Supervisors with RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division located and arrested Curnew just before 5:00 p.m. without incident.
Curnew appeared at Provincial Court this morning.
He was not on duty at the time of this alleged breach and is currently non-operational and on leave.
As this was a breach of the Family Violence and Protection Act, there have been no criminal charges laid.
