Police Charge Driver Who Had License for Under 12 Hours
The RNC conducted a check on a vehicle stopped on a parking lot of a local business in Corner Brook.
Police discovered open alcohol in the vehicle, and breathe testing was conducted on the driver.
To make matters worse the driver only had gotten their license earlier that day.
The driver was issued summary offence tickets for having open alcohol in a vehicle, as well as operating a vehicle past midnight as a novice driver.
The driver also had his vehicle impounded and his license suspended due to being over the limit prescribed by provincial statues.
At the time of the check the driver had only had their license for approximately 12 hours.
