Woman Found Dead in Humber River Was Trying to Cool Down


The RCMP have identified the 69-year-old woman who drowned in the Humber River as Geraldine Wiseman of Deer Lake.

RCMP say that Wiseman went to the water to cool down from the hot temperatures.

She was not dressed in such a way that would indicate she was swimming.

Criminality has not been determined and the matter remains under investigation.
