CBS Man Charged With Animal Cruelty
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary have charged a man with animal cruelty in Conception Bay South.
On Wednesday, RNC responded to a complaint of animal cruelty in the Town of CBS. The Town of CBS’s Humane Services Division contacted the RNC about concerns for a dog belonging to a member in their community.
Humane Services Officers removed the dog from the home on July 23, 2018 after receiving a complaint from a member of the public. The Humane Services Officers s conducted a thorough investigation under the Animal Health and Protection Act. The dog is now in the care of the Town of CBS.
As a result of the investigation the RNC has charged a 60 year old CBS man with one count of animal cruelty under section 446 of the Criminal Code.
The man will appear in court at a later date.
