Woman Arrested After Walking Away From Crash

Shortly after 4:00 a.m. on July 16, 2018, RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay were patrolling the town and came upon a 24-year-old woman, who was walking away from a motor vehicle crash.

RCMP determined she was the driver and suspected she was impaired by alcohol.

A roadside screening device was administered and the woman was brought back to the detachment for breath testing.

She provided breath samples that were above the legal limit and is now facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impaired operation of a motor vehicle over 80 mg%.

The woman has been released from custody and will attend court at a later date.
