Toronto Pride Parade Held on Sunday

The 38th Toronto Pride parade was held in Toronto on Sunday.

One special occurrence at the parade was a moment of silence for LGBT victims of violence.

This was the first parade since the arrest of Bruce McArthur, the man accused of murdering eight gay men in Toronto.

During the parade there was rain, however it did not stop a large turnout.

Premier-designate Doug Ford did not attend the parade and said he will not attend until police are permitted to march in the parade.

Premier Kathleen Wynne and her partner attended the parade.
