Police Stop Drunk Driver After Erratic Driving in Corner Brook

On June 21 at approximately 9:00 pm RNC Patrol Services responded to a complaint of erratic driving on West Street in Corner Brook.
It was reported that a vehicle had driven through construction pylons, drove into an oncoming traffic lane and then onto a sidewalk before stopping in a commercial parking lot.
As a result of an investigation, a 56 year old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Refusal.
He was issued a 90 day driving suspension and his vehicle was impounded by police for 30 days.
The accused will appear in Provincial Court later in August.
