The rainbow crosswalk that students at Indian River High School Gender - Sexuality Alliance may not be happening, but Springdale has just declared Pride Week for the first time in the community.

This decision has been made since national scrutiny towards the town after council decide to not go ahead with a rainbow crosswalk in front of the high school.

The raising of the flag will mark the first pride week in Springdale's history. This is to show that Springdale supports the LGBTQ community.

When the town rejected the pride crosswalks they showed interest in finding different ways to show they support this LGBTQ community.
