Quebec Man Facing Liquor and Tobacco Charges in NL
On Saturday morning, RCMP in Flower's Cove and Port Saunders received a call that a lone man from Quebec would be crossing on the St. Barbe ferry carrying stolen property in his vehicle.
Police intercepted the vehicle and a 69-year-old man from Quebec was arrested. A search of his vehicle revealed no stolen property, however a large amount of tobacco and alcohol was discovered.
The man is facing liquor and tobacco related charges and his vehicle was seized.
The man has been released. He is scheduled to appear in court in Port au Choix in September, 2018.
