Terror in Toronto as Van Kills 9 Injures 16
Nine people are dead and 16 more are injured after a van jumped a sidewalk in North York.
Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale said that Canada's national threat level does not need to be raised.
Canada's current level is Medium, meaning that a violent act of terrorism could occur, and has been at this level since October 2014.
Yonge Street is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic between Finch Avenue and Sheppard Avenue.
Toronto police are asking drivers and pedestrians to avoid the area.
There are also disruptions to the TTC and GO Transit.
A suspect is in custody.
