Death at Women’s Correctional Facility in Clarenville

The RCMP are investigating after a death at the women’s correctional facility in Clarenville.

On Saturday morning staff responded to an “emergency situation”.

The woman was transported to the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville where she later died.

There is no word on the cause of death.
