Gerry Rogers Elected as New Democratic Party Leader #nlpoli

The New Democratic Party of Newfoundland and Labrador has a new Leader.

Gerry Rogers has been elected to lead the party.

Earle McCurdy stepped down as leader in September.

The Leader of the national New Democratic Party, Jagmeet Singh, was on hand at the convention. Rogers won with 67 per cent of the vote.

MUN economist Alison Coffin was also seeking the leader position.
