Growing Tourism on the Great Northern Peninsula

Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, announced over $154,000 for two tourism initiatives on the Great Northern Peninsula.

Dark Tickle Expeditions, located in St. Lunaire-Griquet, is using a $137,107 term loan under the Business Investment Fund, to support their efforts in developing a new and innovative visitor experience in the tourism industry.

To assist with implementing a marketing plan for the Light Keepers Café/Great Viking Feast, Light Keepers Café Limited will receive $17,500 from the Business Development Support Program. The success of this business is the appeal of its location and history, and a new marketing plan will help further promote the company and the community and increase the length of the operating season.
