75 year old Arrested for Assault with Weapon Against a Police Officer

At 8:30 am on Saturday police responded to a 9-1-1 hangup in the Center of St. John's.

As a result of this call a 75 year old male was arrested for assault with a weapon against a Police Officer.

The male was conveyed to court where he assaulted a Sheriff’s Officer and was charged with one additional count of assaulting a peace officer.

There were no injuries sustained as a result of this incident.
