Two Candidates Running for NDP Leadership #nlpoli

Two candidates have put their name forward in the leadership face for the NDP.
Gerry Rogers and Alison Coffin will be running against each other.
Rogers was elected to the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly in the 2011 provincial election, representing the district of St. John’s Centre as a member of the New Democratic Party.
She was the first openly gay politician ever elected to the provincial legislature. She was re-elected in the 2015 provincial election.
Alison Coffin is an economist and educator.
The party was without a leader after Earle McCurdy stepped down. In the interm Lorraine Michael filled the role.
