RNC Make Arrest in Three Metro Armed Robbery Investigations

The RNC Criminal Investigation Division has arrested a male for multiple armed robberies.

On Tuesday, February 20 at approximately 7:00 pm officers arrested a 23-year-old resident of St. John’s for multiple armed robberies which have occurred in the metro area since February 12, 2018. This arrest was made without incident and was the result of ongoing investigations being conducted by the RNC Criminal Investigation Division.

The male was conveyed to the City Lock Up and will appeared in Provincial Court in St. John’s yesterday. He has been charged with: three counts of armed robbery, three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. The charges are in relation to three robberies which occurred at a convenience store in the downtown area on February 12 and at a service station and convenience store in the center city, both of which occurred on February 17.
