RCMP Arrest Man on 20 Year Old Arrest Warrant

The Mounties always gets their man it seems.
On February 20, 2018, Thomas Battiste, a 43-year-old former resident of Channel-Port aux Basques, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant from more than 20 years ago.
The warrant was issued for being unlawfully at large after Mr. Battiste failed to complete his intermittent prison sentence.
Mr. Battiste appeared in Stephenville Provincial Court yesterday and was sentenced to 75 days for his previous charge and 12 days for being at lawfully at large.
