RNC cruiser Rear Ended by the Suspect Vehicle #nltraffic

An RNC cruiser was rear ended by the very vehicle that police were trying to stop last night.

Police responded to a call of a possible impaired driver and hit and run in the West end of St. John’s.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The 31 year old male driver was arrested and charged with: Impaired driving; Failing the Breathalyzer; leaving the scene of an accident; Resisting arrest; and, breach of court order.

There were no injuries resulting from the collisions and the damage was minor.

The man was held to appear in court.
