Dow plunges nearly 1,200 points


The Dow Jones index has experienced its largest daily points drop in its history.

The Dow Jones index fell almost 1,200 points, following its worst weekly decline since 2016 on Friday.

Canadian markets also fell. It was the biggest drop in 17 months.

It marked the lowest level since September.

The Toronto S&P/TSX Composite ended on 15,334.81 points. It has been falling for six straight days.
