Man Arrested after Making Threats Against Trudeau and Notley

Orion Rutley, a man from Alberta has been charged after making threats on Twitter against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Alberta Premier Rachel Notley.

He was arrested on January 19th.

Rutley faces two charges of uttering threats.

His Twitter account has been suspended.

Earlier this year Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the Prime Minister's wife, was threatened by an Alberta woman who was arrested.

Two Saskatchewan men were charged last year after making threats against the prime minister.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
