Unifor Leaves Canadian Labour Congress
One of the big names in Labour has pulled out of the Canadian Labour Congress.
Unifor made the move after saying that they want their members to have more rights when choosing representation.
There is also a lack of support for members of their American arm.
Unifor was founded in 2013 as a merger of the Canadian Auto Workers and Communications, Energy and Paperworkers unions.
The Canadian Labour Congress, or CLC is a national trade union centre, the central labour body in Canada to which most Canadian labour unions are affiliated.
