The controversy continues over the governments decision to replace the head of the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation Steve Winter.

Finance Minister Tom Osborne says that Winter was only replaced so a new CEO could find ways to cut costs and find efficiencies withing the corporation.

The NDP says that the corporation is one of the few agencies that does not have fiscal issues.

The NLC says they will not be making any further comment on changes.
