Snow Squalls Close Roads #nltraffic

Saturday was a stormy day across parts of Newfoundland.

Snow squalls forced officials to close roads on parts of the west coast.

From Port aux Basques to Corner Brook there were high winds causing white out conditions and drifting in open areas. In some areas equipment was taken off the roads.

Route 490 was closed from TCH to Stephenville Crossing due to storm surge. There was also zero visibility in heavy snow on parts of Northern Peninsula.
