Man Faces Multiple Charges After Police Chase


Shortly after midnight, RNC Patrol Services attempted to stop a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit and run accident earlier in the evening.

The suspect vehicle failed to stop for officers and a short pursuit ensued before the operator stopped the vehicle and ran into a wooded area.

Patrol officers had the male in custody within seconds.

As a result the 33 year old male operator was arrested and charged with numerous Criminal Code Offences including: flight from police/dangerous operation of a motor vehicle/fail to remain at the scene of an accident/ driving while impaired by drug/ resisting arrest/ obstruction and court order breaches.

As well Highway Traffic Act offences for/driving while suspended/ false stickers/fail to transfer ownership & no insurance.

The male was held for Court in the morning and his vehicle was impounded.
