RNC Impound Two Vehicles in the Metro Area
RNC impounded two vehicles in the Metro Area in the last 24 hours.
At 10:20 pm RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the downtown St. John’s area. As a result, a 35 year old woman has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, operating an unregistered vehicle and failure to transfer vehicle ownership. The woman was released but her vehicle was impounded.
Early this morning at 1:00 AM RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a report from the public of a possible impaired driver in the Ruth Ave. area of Mount Pearl. As a result a 58 year old man has been charged with impaired driving, refusing the breathalyzer and resisting arrest. The man was also charged under the Liquor Control Act with open alcohol in a vehicle and under the Highway Traffic Act with driving while suspended. The man owed in excess of $ 5000.00 in fines. He was held to appear in Court in the morning and his vehicle was impounded.
