Stranded Ship Collided With Marine Atlantic Terminal in Argentia

Marine Atlantic has launched an investigation into the incident at their Terminal in Argentia.

Back on Saturday morning, the Baby Leeyn, a bulk carrier, departed the port of Argentia then veered into Marine Atlantic’s main dock.

Since the terminal is closed for the season, the incident was not reported.

The ship became stranded and was drifting south of Cape St. Mary’s.

The Canadian Coast Guard's Environmental Response worked with the owner to implement a response plan.
