Bad Drivers and More Keep Police Busy #nlwx


The RNC were kept busy on the Northeast Avalon with traffic infractions.

At 2:25 PM on Sunday RNC Operational Patrol Services conducted a Traffic Safety Stop in the area of Empire Ave. St. John’s. As a result, a 47 year old man has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving while suspended. The male was released but his vehicle was impounded.

At 2:40 PM RNC Operational Patrol Services conducted a Traffic Safety Stop in the area of Portugal Cove Rd. St. John’s. As a result, a 26 year old man has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with no insurance, expired registration, false plate attached, and failure to transfer ownership. The male was released but his vehicle was impounded.

Around 9:40 om in Center City, Operational patrol services conducted a Traffic Safety Stop. A 24 year old female driver issued 7 day suspension for operating vehicle while under influence of suspected drug. DRE(Drug Recognition Evaluation) completed. Investigation is continuing in this matter.
