Cause of Veteran’s Crash Released #nltraffic

The RCMP says that the accident that closed a portion of the Veteran’s Memorial Highway on Wednesday morning was due to a mechanical failure.

The accident happened shortly after 10:00 a.m. near the Shearstown overpass.

The rear axle on the vehicle broke off causing the truck to loose control.

No serious injuries were reported, however the driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
