Driver and Passenger Arrested During Traffic Stop #nltraffic


Police in St. John's arrested both the driver of a car and the passenger yesterday evening. Around 9:30 am members conducted a traffic safety stop in the area of Rankin Street, St. John’s.

The 32 year old male driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for operating a motor vehicle with no registration, no drivers licence, no Insurance and having a false sticker attached to the Vehicle. The male also owed close to $8000.00 in fines. The driver was also charged with breach of a Court order and was held in custody to appear before a Judge.

The 30 year old male Passenger in the vehicle was determined to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The man was arrested and held to appear before a Judge.
