Driver Blows Twice the Legal Limit

RNC responded to a call of a residential break and entry in a St. Johns west end neighborhood at 2:10 pm on Sunday.

The 22 year old male suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.

While searching for the suspect he was located operating a vehicle and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol while officers were questioning him regarding the break and entry. The male was transported to the RNC Mt Pearl office where he blew twice the legal limit on the breathalyzer.

The accused was charged with break and entry with intent to commit an indictable offence, failing the breathalyzer, impaired driving and breach of probation. The accused was held at the lockup to appear in court in the morning.
