Majority of Australian's Support Same-Sex Marriage

A recent poll shows that 61.6 per cent of Australian's support the proposal to legalize same-sex marriage.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said that people had voted "overwhelmingly yes, for marriage equality."

The Prime Minister said that he wants to get moving on legislation to legalize same-sex marriage.

In some Australian states it was illegal to engage in homosexual activity until 1997.
