Bishop Feild School Closed After Structural Damage

An incident at Bishop Feild Elementary could mean that students are displaced and may be until January.

A concrete portion of the school’s ceiling collapsed onto the gym floor yesterday afternoon.

There were no injuries and no students or staff were present at the time.

Displaced students will attend the former School for the Deaf on Topsail Road starting on Tuesday, October 31.

Until then, students will remain home from school.
