Habitat for Humanity Families in Corner Brook Celebrate New Homes
The Governments of Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada celebrated two new Habitat for Humanity homes today for families in Corner Brook. The three-bedroom homes are the result of a $170,000 contribution through the 2014-2019 Investment in Affordable Housing (IAH) Agreement.
Premier Dwight Ball and MP Gudie Hutchings made the announcement. They were joined at the event by Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development and Minister Responsible for the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation, and Eddie Joyce, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment and MHA for Humber - Bay of Islands.
Those attending the announcement celebrated with the Bellows and Quehe families at a home dedication ceremony. Both families have been living in their new homes since summer 2017.
