Two Rescued From Roof in Corner Brook Fire

The Corner Brook Fire Department made quick work of a fire on Country Road early this morning. Around 3:30 this morning a blaze broke out.

It was reported there were two occupants in the basement apartment and two occupants in the main portion of the home.

Fire fighters evacuated the basement occupants from the home and safely extracted the other two residents of home from the roof.

The two occupants removed from the roof were conveyed to Western Memorial Regional Hospital by paramedics to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Extensive damage was sustained to the inside of the home.

The RNC remains on scene as a fire investigator from the RNC will continue to investigate the fire scene throughout the day.
