Police Stop Prohibited Driver #nltraffic

Operational Patrol Services conducted a traffic safety stop on St Thomas Line Paradise after identifying a male known to them as being prohibited from driving yesterday afternoon.

At this time the officers noted that the operator was under the influence of alcohol. As a result of breathalyzer tests that were conducted shortly thereafter, the 47 year old male was charged with impaired driving and driving while disqualified.

He was held at the lock up for a court appearance in the morning and his vehicle was impounded under new legislation.
