Youth in Corner Brook Arrested on Slew of Charges

On September 3 at 2:50 a.m. RNC Patrol Services conducted a traffic stop on Park Street, Corner Brook after a vehicle negotiated an improper left turn in the area.

During the traffic stop it was revealed that the driver, a 17 year old male, did not possess a driver’s licence and the vehicle being driven was not insured.

The youth was also under three court orders by the courts in Corner Brook and Stephenville.

During the arrest of the accused, a prohibited weapon was located and seized.

The accused remains in custody and has been charged with Driving without a Driver’s Licence, Improper Turning, Driving without a Valid Insurance Policy in Effect, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon in Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public, three counts of Breach of Recognizance and two counts of Breach of Probation.

The vehicle was impounded by police and the accused will appear in Court on September 3.
