One person was taken to hospital yesterday after a rescue operation off the coast of Fogo Island.

JRCC Halifax coordinated a MEDEVAC from a fishing vessel 156 NM Northeast of Fogo Island.

The rescue was made by a Cormorant from 103 Squdron, the Leonard J. Cowley, and a 413 Squadron Hercules providing top cover.
