RNC Officer Assaulted

RNC reponded to a traffic complaint in the east end of St. John's around 9:20 pm on Sunday night.

A 22 year old male was charged with impaired driving, refusing the breathalyzer, theft of a motor vehicle, driving while prohibited, resisting arrest, assaulting police officer with a weapon, flight from police, dangerous driving and four breaches of court orders.

The accused was also issued six summary offence tickets and was held at the lockup for court this morning.
