RNC Take Two More Drunk Drivers Off The Road #nltraffic


The RNC took two more impaired drivers off the road in the past 24 hours.

At 4:30 pm yesterday afternoon RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a call for service regarding a possible impaired driver. Officers were able to locate the vehicle in Portugal Cove-St. Phillips. The driver was believed to be under the influence of alcohol and he was taken to the police station for testing. As a result, the 43 year old male failed the breathalyzer and is charged with impaired driving and having blood alcohol over the legal limit. He was released for court on a later date.

Then this morning at 3:30 am Officers conducted a traffic safety stop in the East End of St. John’s. As a result of the stop a 49 year old male was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and for operating a motor vehicle over the legal limit for alcohol. He was conveyed to St. John’s City Lock-up to appear in Court this morning.
