RCMP Respond to Report of Man With a Gun

RCMP in Deer Lake and Corner Brook responded to a call earlier this week about a man brandishing a gun at a Deer Lake bar.

A 45-year old man is in custody following the incident.

When RCMP arrived, the suspect had already fled the area. He was located a short time ago.

Jamie Goodyear faces charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, assault, carrying a concealed weapon, uttering threats and using an imitation of a firearm in the commission of an offence.

He is being held in custody.
